CloneDVDMobile memcoder crashing

Hi all,

I'm having problems with CloneDVDMobile.

I used to have all the Slysoft software on my laptop, however it was getting hot copying all my fav DVDs to files for my iPod and PSP.

So, I uninstalled from my laptop, installed and ran the registry keys again on my Desktop PC in the living room. AnyDVD, CloneDVD2, Virtual etc. all appear to work fine, except for CloneDVDMobile, I've even tried with a DVD I was able to do on my laptop previously, it's always the same problem.

It starts to copy/convert, then after one, two or less seconds Windows says:

> memcoder.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.
> AppName: memcoder.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: unknown
> ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0022fb8a

The CloneDVDMobile errors after the windows ones above.

> Creation of DVD Files was not successful:
>
> "C:\Program Files\Slysoft\CloneDVDMobile\apps\memcoder.exe"
> - -af volume=10 -aspect 4:3 -of lavf -lavfopts
> format=mp4:i_certify_that_my_video_stream_does_not_use_b_frames
> -oac lavc -ovc lavc -lavcopts
> aglobal=1:vglobal=1:vcodec=mpeg4codec=aac:vbitra
>
> The pipe has been ended.
> The output drive might be full or is defective.
> Please select another drive to write output files to and
> try again.

Of course, I filled out the Support form at the Slysoft website, this was the reply I got:

Hi,

Download the AnyDVD setup file from our homepage.
Save the license key Key.AnyDVD from the AnyDVD license email.

Save these two files to a CD or a memory stick.

Copy these files to your other PC.

Install AnyDVD. Reboot the PC.
Register AnyDVD by doubleclicking the Key.AnyDVD file.
Reboot the PC again.

Then you're done.

Best regards,

Pretty useless, in fact, I don't think they took more than a glance at my ticket. So, I'm hoping someone on this forum can help me please.

I've tried mapping a drive to another computer as the target, but same problem, and I don't have anything else to store it on.

ah right, i was beginning to think that the mencoder build was so heavily optimised for p4's that it didn't actually work at all on athlons, mind you the x2 is a completely different beast to the xp.

I have the Same problem. Clonemobile was working fine and then it started doing this all of a sudden. I can only think that I might have installed something thats causing the conflict, perhaps a new version of Divx ?

Re: CloneDVDMobile memcoder crashing

yeah, i think codecs are very fragile/fussy things, sony vegas used to crash in a similar way on me due to it not liking the mpeg2 codecs i had installed

Re: CloneDVDMobile memcoder crashing

I've got a Pentium 4 3Ghz, I do have DivX/Xvid installed on here though, perhaps I should try uninstalling it.
