CloneDVD2 write errors

As a Newbie could use some guidance. When playing DVD that I've burned, I get many occasions when picture freezes for a second and then continues playing, and on occassion will jump back to a prior chapter. Am using the latest software update for CloneDVD2 and my firmware is also updated. Am using Sony DRX-500ulx writer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: CloneDVD2 write errors

Hi RBartlett2, it is probably a media problem, not related to CloneDVD.

If you use low quality/cheap media, you get high error rates that some readers are not able to correct without freezes, skips, pixelation, etc...

What kind of media are you using? Princo maybe?

It could also depend on the reader's ability to play DVD-Rs (or DVD+Rs)... is it a standalone player or are you talking about your PC's DVD-ROM drive?

Regards,

ET

Or the standalone player's problem.
The new generation players "swallow" all kinds of media without blinking.

Re: CloneDVD2 write errors

Am using what I think to be good quality media, Sony Sony DVD+R, 50DPR47LS2.
Will look more closely at specs of standalone player.
Appreciate the input.
