as per title, i've read that some new nice features will be available. anyone knows when the new release will be out?

Well, it isn't in beta yet. My own guess is that it will be generally available sometime towards the end of February. But, like I say, that's only a guess.

I'm not surprised you're impatient. This release should draw together all the capabilities of the other transcoders into one package and improve on most of them. The promised increase in quality should be interesting. I for one have never subscribed to the view that DVDShrink is king; it gives a smooth effect that I think is cousin to softness. I much prefer CloneDVD's output, which is sharper to my eye. And when it comes to dropping unwanted titles, Clone blows 'em all out of the water!

Just hope nothing's been spoilt by all these additions.
