New to CDFreaks. Great forum. I'm having the same problem as MadBob. PSP Audio Sync is out. I've downloaded 1.1.3.1 beta and will test immediately. Audio sync was never an issue up until the last few versions or so.

Do you think you found the issue in 1.1.3.1 beta and fixed it?

I am using a >2.6 Firmware MP4. My PSP is at v3.01, but the audio sync issue was there on the previous version also.

Slysoft rocks man, and the support you guys are getting is amazing.

Zune Support Sometime in the Future?

We've been working on this for quite a while now, we do produce valid h.264 files that play fine on any software player capable of h.264, but the iPod simply refuses to take them...

Yes, we are using mencoder and even though mencoder does support multiple threads, we discovered that the gain in speed creating MPEG on dual-core PCs is 1-2% (that's not a typo!). In other words: you won't even notice the difference.
It does speed up h.264 encoding somewhat, though, but unfortunately the results will not play on the PSP as opposed to single thread created files.
That's why there is no dual-core support. Sorry, it simply doesn't work.

Vista 64: yes. Note that our drivers are currently not signed, so you will have to boot Vista without the dirver-signing-check on to install.
Driver-Signatures should be added in upcoming releases.

Well, my encodes in x264 codec is very better than Slysoft. But I am using two pass encoding too. With these two features (H264 + two pass) the file size is 50% of Slysoft and the quality is better. If these two features could be included in the future versions it's cool.

Simon, we're poking in the dark with this issue.
I have a PSP v2.71 here for testing and tell you what: I've never seen A/V go out of sync in any test. Not once. NTSC, PAL, all variants tested.
Only with FW versions before 2.6, when PSP couldn't handle some framerates, but that's dealt with through the different profiles in CloneDVD mobile.

So all we can do, is turn a little knob here and there that might be related to this effect and see if it helps.
We do get complaints about A/V-sync but they are extremly rare by now, so at least it seems to be improving...

- Generic DivX with "Native NTSC/PAL" resolution selected wouldn't encode
- still some subtitles appeared inverted

They are finicky.. Can Mencoder do WMV video with WMA audio, making Zune support Possible? Would Have to be WME Encoder 9, Up to 1.5kbps video and 1692kbps with audio, 320x240 res. If we could produce such files the Zune will Sync them right up. Presently I use WinAvi to produce the files and it works well, but it's alot slower than Clonemobile.

Divx encoding at "720*576 (PAL)" now works a treat!

Full marks on this level of support!

MPEG? are you talking about memcoder only here or MPEG in general, cause when using HC enoder (MPEG2 based) the encoding goes alot faster when multi threads are turned on. Its not 100% more faster. For example it takes 180 mins for 1 core. When I turn on multi it takes 100-120 minutes, which is like 35-40% faster. Divx is the same when turning on multi thread/core (MPEG4 based). Also why not just have the PSP as 1 thread, and let the ones that do work with multi threads use multi threads?

Also I second the idea of a 2-pass.

I test 1.1.3.2 beta and the subtitles problem has been resolved.

Sure, I'm talking about mencoder. It's currently not worth trying - we'll see if it improves someday.

I hope this does not come across the wrong way. I am simply confused on this and want to understand it. I own your suite of products and I own a Zune. Why does clonedvdmobile have trouble ripping to a zune format, but I see other packages that do it. For example, I see cucusoft and a madz zune converter package available.

I love your suite of products and would rather stick to one vendor. However, the lack of direct Zune support makes it a long conversion for me.

Can you help me understand this?

You know there is a really simple solution. Change the software to encode multiple chapters at once. One chapter for each CPU... If the file is not split into chapters, arbitrarily split it, and merge it back together in the end. Even when considering extra IO time and merging time, there will probably be at least a 40% speed improvement per CPU.
