I have been using clone dvd2 and all my copied dvds play on my dvd players. later i started using clonedvd 3 and none of the copied dvds i copied work on a dvd player, only my surround system. i also used the same discs with clonedvd 2. can any one tell me how to fix this. thanks

CloneDVD from Slysoft and Elby is still at version 2. There is another company selling a program called CloneDVD and it has problems. I am guessing that is what you have run into. The latest version of the good CloneDVD is 2.8.5.1.

Ya, Elby is the best one. heres the one i tried. i emailed them and they actually emailed me edmitting it has problems.

Why would you stop using a program that worked is beyond me, unless it was the trial version and you didn't want to sheel out the money.

I'm not sure if you have a trial version of CloneDVD3 or if there even is one, I wouldn't use it if it were free.

If you bought it, demand your money back, others have done it with success.
Take the money and buy AnyDVD and CloneDVD and you'll still have money left over to take the wife or girl friend to a movie.

If they refuse, notify your credit card card company and inform them the product does not perform as advertised.

yes i tried the free version of each. i just baught Elby clonedvd 2 last week. i just wanted to know if there is a way to fix the other dvds. i put the copied dvd back on my pc and elby can read it but cant convert it.

Probably not. I would recommend making new backups with Elby's CloneDVD. That piece of garbage from clonedvd.net has caused people nothing but problems. The thing that sucks is they often come here thinking it's the product from Elby when it's not. Fortunately, they always get set straight. I'm glad you bought Elby's CloneDVD...you will be pleased with it I'm sure.

I had the same problem. it sucked balls. here's what you need to do. get nerovision express. next, copy all the .vob files from the shitty dvd that the ripoff program made to a folder on your hard drive. use nero recode to recode the files to nero video format. make an .nrg image with nerovision from the recoded nero video files. use the program nrg2iso to convert the image to .iso. then get virtual clonedrive, which is free from elby/slysoft. mount the new .iso image, and use clonedvd2 to rip the movie from your virtual drive. sounds like a pain in the arse, i know. your other option is to find the originals again and use the real clonedvd

actually, i found a better way. VobBlanker, default settings, process all, burn with elby CDVD

Please forgive, but WHY, in heaven's name, go through all that? Pull the original movie off your shelf and re-backup with CloneDVD2!

go through all the trouble of running vobblanker? and burning with cdvd 2? that is a lot of trouble. but my guess would be that he's a pirate, otherwise the first thing he would have done is pull it off the shelf and go with what always worked.
