Clone DVD Mobile - Latest 3 versions

I have an Archos AV320. I bought Clone DVD mobile so that I could transfer some of my films to enjoy on the move.

The picture quality at 320 x 240 is awesome and needs to be seen to be believed, however, the sound is bizarre. It sounds like an overdriven warble underwater. No music or voices can be heard at all - just the underwater warble. I have tried this on 2 different AV320's and the result is the same on both machines. Have also tried this with many different movies.

I did contact Slysoft about this and they recommended setting the volume to "0" in the devices file. This made no difference so they said to first rip the movie with anydvd. Tried that as well to no effect.

Any help anyone can give me would be appreciated as this is starting to bug me now. DivX converter works perfectly but takes about 3 times as long to process a movie.

Help a newbie get some use out of his software please

Strange.
The sound format generated by CloneDVD mobile is MP3 with a Samplerate of 44100 and a compressed audio-bitrate of 128kbps. Which is well within the specs of the device.

I suggest you edit the AV320-profile again (don't forget to restart CloneDVD mobile thereafter).

You can try

ARate=24000
and/or
ABRate=64

Does that help?
If not: do you know, what kind of sound-output DivX Converter created?

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately none of the above worked either. Tried them separately and together - still warbling under water.

No idea what type of sound divx converter created - I used their portable profile.

Any ideas where to go from here?

Does the video play correctly with Windows Media Player?
Also: you can try the CloneDVD mobile BETA 1.1.3.2 downloadable from www.slysoft.com. Check if that makes a difference.

If everything else fails, please send us a working sample created with DivX converter (just a very short one please, only a few seconds, I'm only interested in the parameters).

We haven't heard of this problem so far, and I'm sure there are quite a few CloneDVD mobile users out there with an Archos, that's what puzzles me...

Re: Clone DVD Mobile - Latest 3 versions

Thanks again for the response. I am using the beta download and it does play perfectly in Media Player. Where can I send the sample from DivX Converter to?

For reference I also tried on 2 different PC's - same result as before.

Simply send it to support_at_slysoft.com and tell them to pass it on to me, thanks.

I'm sorry, I was out cold with a lung disease the last 3 weeks.
But I can't seem to find your email anyway.
Maybe it wasn't forwarded to me, because I wasn't there.

And not knowing the exact time and date, it's not even worth trying to search the support archives.

So if your problem still persists, would you be so kind and simply resend the file?
Thanks.
