CloneDVD Discuss, Changing DTS into 5.1 or 3.2? at Copy Movie forum; I made a backup of a disc and only made it in DTS by mistake! Now it wont play on some players!!! Can I burn it again, and now get 5.1 or even 3.2 from this DTS version? Thanks in advance!

Changing DTS into 5.1 or 3.2?

I made a backup of a disc and only made it in DTS by mistake!
Now it wont play on some players!!!

Can I burn it again, and now get 5.1 or even 3.2 from this DTS version?

I don't see how. You'll have to pull out your original and make a new backup, but choosing the DD5.1 soundtrack instead of DTS.

i don't know for a fact that you CAN'T convert it, but i've never heard of any programs that will allow you to. the easiest, fastest, and simplest solution is to pull ou tthe original and make a new backup making sure you include the correct audio track.

There's a free app called tranzcode that will take a DTS audio stream & break it down to 6 individual wave tracks which can then be put back together with something like Sonic Scenarist into Dolby 5.1.

Obviously the DTS audio needs to be extracted from the DVD first.

Did this with an AVI file once & it was fine, never tried with DVD though.
