Burning speed in CloneDVD 2.0.8.4

There appears to be a cosmetic (but annoying) bug in CloneDVD v2.0.8.4 :

I have 4 DVD writers and 1 cd-writer in my system :
Plex 708A
NEC 2500A
Sony DRU-500A
LiteON 411S
LiteON cd-burner.

If I want to choose the writing speed, CloneDVD always gives me the options
1x, 2-2.4x , 4x, 8x , max. , no matter what drive I choose to write.

First, is it logic that can choose 8x for the DRU-500A or the LDW-411s ??
Second, my NEC supports also 6x writing, but I can't select 6x...
some 4x good media can't handle 8x very well but do give perfect burns at 6x.

How can I select the 6x ???

Most other writing apps read the supported speeds for the media in that specific writer,
but CloneDVD doesn't seems to have this 'feature' implemented.

I can't imagine I'm the first one who wants to write at 6x, so how do you guys fix this ???

No, you weren't the first one > How about 6x burn speed?
There have been issued 3 follow-up versions since then, but the 6x speed hasn't been implemented yet.
Kinda strange, especially if thinking of this media ability :
