Burning ISO fails everytime...aaahhh

It started about 3 weeks ago. Everytime I burn an ISO that Clone made, it gets to 84% and fails EVERYTIME. Gives me a bad media write error. I have tried 3 different brands and coastered 7 DVD-R's already. It will make an ISO just fine to a HD, but when I try to put it on disc, it gives me a write error at 84%. I have the latest version of any and clone, have been using it for about 3 years with no problems. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum

Can you give more details about media? What brands did you use exactly? The most frequent cause of this problem is indeed a bad media.

Can you also post here what burner do you have exactly? At what speed did you burn? Did you update the firmware?

Re: Burning ISO fails everytime...aaahhh

Thanks!

I used memorex, office depot and Sony. All with no luck.

My burner is a optiarc AD-5560 in a Dell laptop thats about 3 months old. I did update the firmwear, but I did it after I started having the problem. No luck their either. I've even uninstalled/reinstalled Any and clone. Driver version is 5.1.2535.0 looks like a standard MS driver dated 7/1/2001

I have used the same media with same software on another computer with no problems.

FYI I don't ever recall CloneDVD making iso files....more like .image file extension. So I don't know where your getting your iso files from what source. What O/S are you using? What is your Laptop model?

when you select "clone A DVD"...there is a button at the top before you hit go that will allow you to output a file (iso) or to the burner.

Laptop is a Dell business class Vostr 1500. But I wouldnt think that would matter as I havent had problems until recently.

Get verbatim they are on sale at best buy right now for 12.99 for a 50 pack. Or get TY's. That burner just may not like those brands or there are some bad blank discs in that pack.
