Re: Bad Media Error?

@ VincentInd,

Could you be more specific and provide amplifying information as to exactly what you are referring to such as what software programs are involved.

The topic “Bad Media Error” is rather broad and diverse topic and the scope needs to be narrowed down to a particular area.

Best Regards,
bjkg

Re: Bad Media Error?

@ AndrewD,

I suggest that you take a more mature attitude in your postings at this Forum.

Recently in another thread in this Forum you asked for information on how to obtain a “Crack” for the AnyDVD software program.

No one in this Forum is going to provide you with ANY assistance in obtaining illegal software.

Also no one is going to assist you in providing any information on how to use your illegally obtained software.

Best Regards,
bjkg

Re: Bad Media Error?

I am using CloneDVD and AnyDVD and It will copy the DVD on to my hard drive, but wont write to my disk. The error message pops up and it blames it on bad media. My other computer use to do the same thing but I would pop in another disk and it would work

Re: Bad Media Error?

@ VincentInd,

The problem that you reporting is caused by DVD media incompatibility between your DVD Burner and the particular DVD media you are using. If you are experiencing difficulty with your DVD media it is prudent to insure that your DVD Burner has the most current up to date firmware available for your DVD Burner installed.

To determine the current firmware of your DVD burner use a software utility similar to DVDInfo Pro (http://www.dvdinfopro.com/).

To obtain information on obtaining the most current up to date firmware available for your DVD Burner visit the DVD Burner Forum at CD Freaks located at (http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=61). The folks at the CD Freaks DVD Burner Forum are very knowledgeable and have developed various firmwares that optimize the full potential of your DVD burner.

If after installing the most current up to date firmware available for your DVD Burner your problem still exists you need to pursue obtaining known good reliable DVD media.

A little help in deciding which DVD media to use.

Suggest visiting the CD Freaks DVD Recorder Forum (http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=61) for your particular DVD Burner and see which DVD Media other Forum members have reported that work for them.

Suggest visiting the CD Freaks Media Forum (http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=33) and see which DVD Media other Forum members have reported as good reliable DVD media.

Suggest visiting the Video Help DVD Media List (http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia) and see what other users have reported about particular DVD Media.

Concerning the quality of DVD media. The saying “You Only Get What You Pay For” fully applies to DVD media. If the price is cheap the quality is also probably cheap. Remember most dropouts, freezing, skipping and other related problems can be traced to cheap, inferior, substandard DVD media.

Some problems caused by poor DVD media can be overcome by taking a couple actions. Slow down your burning speed. Limit all background activity while Burning DVDs including Ant-Virus programs. Defragment your Hard Drive (Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Defragmenter). Check for Spyware by running Spybot-Search & Destroy (http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html)

Re: Bad Media Error?

@ AndrewD,

I have no problem throwing insults at thieves that use illegal pirated software.

If you knew as much as you think you know about software you would have been able to figure out you problem by yourself and wouldn’t have had to hang around this Forum for over 7 hours to get the answer to your problem.

I hope you enjoy using your illegal pirated software and surly hope your system gets infested with all the nice friendly virus that are contained in the Warez “Cracks” that you are so interested in. The below Forum posting concerns a virus that was contained in a recent “Cracked” version of AnyDVD might be of interest to you.
