I used to back up my DVDs using DVDSHrink and CloneDVD2 with great success some time ago. I lost my comp for a long while and have started backing up again. I am using the demo of AnyDVD, and have found DVDshrink does not work anymore.So I have started experimenting with other programs in conjunction with CloneDVD like DVDFAB. Nothing seems to work. When I put the backed up copy in the DVD player or computer it freezes or does not play. For media I use Sony DVD+R or Verbatim DVD-R. My burner is a Lite-on DVDRW SOHW-1633S. I am at my wits end. What combo do you all use that works.

Freezing during playback is not related to anydvd or other decrypting softwares.

Most of times this is due to a burning on a low quality media. What discs are you using (mediacode please, not only brand)? What burner? What firmware? And at what speed are you burning these discs?

What is Media code? If you mean version 1.2 1x-8x 120/min 4.7gb DVD+R RW Accucore that is what on the disk. I use a Lite-on DVDRW SOHW-1633S firmware DR60BSOY(I think).

Mediacode is a code that identify a disc; it's different from brand (aka the name written on the box); often with the same brand there can be many different media (TDK is a good example). You can find mediacode with dvd identifier (free).

If you are using a rewritable, this can cause playback issues because some standalones are picky.
