VCD Image Hi all, I have used Nero Burning ROM, NeroCOM, NeroCMD, NeroAPI to burn images as VCD. I m facing some problems with the images. These images does not display on the player properly. It shows a split second of the image and then turn into black screen. In addition, I have set 5 secs interval between each image and these interval is working fine (except it waits 4+ sec in black). Suprisingly, some of my images display correctly and wait 5 sec to go to another screen. The only different of these images is the size/resolution. I believe Nero resize the image to fit it the VCD resolution. Does anyone has any idea? The player that i m testing on is Panasonic Portable DVD-LV60 Thanks in advance

Hi, After some more test, I realize it seems to be a problem in Nero 6 but not in 5.5. I have used Nero 6 to burn the VCD and it has EXACTLY same problem. Then I reinstall 5.5 and it works normally. I guess this is a bug / non standard VCD format in version 6.

Solved I solved this issue by doing this: 1) I read on another board that Nero 6 has problem when Nero 5 files are still hanging around (something to do with templates)... 2) Uninstalled every version of Nero I could find in Control Panel/Add Remove 3) Deleted c:\program files\ahead as well as c:\program files\nero (you might have different folders to hunt for) 4) Reinstalled Nero 6. 5) Created a VCD with a menu and it worked in my DVD player (no more disappearing menus or black screens)

I experience the same problem as kevlam in the initial message. I tried sverm's solution. I uninstalled the software (Nero and InCD), cleaned up the directories and the registry. Then, I reinstalled Nero 6.3.0.2 (Release date: December 29th, 2003), but I still have the same problem. And, like kevlam already said, it works just well on my older computer with Nero 5.5.x. Many people are experiencing the same problem? Someone found a solution? Thanks in advance for any advice. Regards, Stephane

Hi Tabarnakos... I'm sorry that didn't work for you. Before I tried that solution, Ahead's support had been no help at all in resolving this problem either. I'm going to keep an eye out to see if anything else comes up.Since, I've gotten so fed up with other problems with Nero's VCD features that I purchased a license for a program called VCDEasy. It gives me full control over everything all my menus on my (S)VCDs. Takes a bit to get used to (and a bit of trial-and-error), but I like it. Yes, it's kind of silly to have to pay for another program to do what one should already do properly... Thanks, also for mentioning the Nero update (as of 29th December) - seems it's getting harder and harder to keep up to date with everything... (let's see -- how many builds am I behind in my BIOS firmware?) ![]()

VCD Image Hi I'm a newb and I have been trying to copy photos to cd-rw's using Nero6.3.0.2 and they all copy fine but I can only watch them on my computer using Power DVD and the slide show works great and pic's look good but I can't get them to play on 2 different DVD players that I have one is a KLH entertainment center the other is a Sanyo DVD player. So far I have tried Make video CD, make super video CD, make video CD slide show, make super video CD slide show but so far none play on my DVD players only on computer with Power DVD. Next I think I will try on DVD-RW's. Keep this thread going to me it is very interesting.Newb Dustyroads
