Unable to set Volume Label using NeroCOM (Nero6601)

Hi All,

1. I am using NeroCOM (which came with Nero6601 installer), to burn DVD-R/+R and DVD-RAM. But on none of the media the volume label is set properly when I make the following calls. It will be great if any one can help me out.

isoTrack.Name = "AMD1213124231232"; // also tried with giving smaller names
neroCurrentDrive.BurnIsoAudioCD("", "", false, isoTrack, null, cdStamp, NERO_BURN_FLAGS.NERO_BURN_FLAG_WRITE | NERO_BURN_FLAGS.NERO_BURN_FLAG_BUF_UNDERRUN_PROT | NERO_BURN_FLAGS.NERO_BURN_FLAG_CLOSE_SESSION, nSpeed, mediaType);

The wierd thing is that when we had tried burning using the old NeroAPI (63115 ), the label was applied successfully. The same program does not apply the label now.

Best Regards,
Niranjan

Re: Unable to set Volume Label using NeroCOM (Nero6601)

Hi All

This problem is similar to the one encountered in DVDshrink 3.2
where volume label is set in DVDshrink and then the NERO 6.6.0.1 burning
engine is used when the Disc is finished the label is "NEW"
However on the previous version of Nero 6.3.1.25 the volume label in DVDshrink
was successfully transferred into Nero and then appeared in the disc title label

Hope this can be fixed, it was very useful

Regards

Bernie

Re: Unable to set Volume Label using NeroCOM (Nero6601)

Also in Nero 6.6.0.3 this isn't fixed. I remember that this was also a problem in the early 6.0 versions of Nero and was fixed with the first update I think. This is no problem of NeroCOM, it's a problem of the API!

... and if you at Ahead thinking about to fix this problem please think about to enlarge the length of the VOLUME to 32 chars (not only 16 chars as in the last working versions).

Thank you very much,
CouJo!

I have just tried burning ISO tracks to both CDRW and DVD+RW with NeroCOM and both of them had a 16 char volume name of my choice (NeroAPI 6.6.0.3).
