only DVD burners - Club CDFreaks

In my [Visual Basic 2005 express] application when I write

drives = nero.GetDrives(NEROLib.NERO_MEDIA_TYPE.NERO_MEDIA_DVD_ANY)

I get ALL dvd players and dvd burners that are in my system.

I only want burners (-R and +R, not rw), not simple players...

what should I write?

NEROLib.NERO_MEDIA_TYPE.NERO_MEDIA_... ???

See section 7.1.27 of the nerocom manual. I believe NERO_MEDIA_DVD_M_R and NERO_MEDIA_DVD_P_R are what you are looking for.

OK, I have just read the difference... what should I write if I want BOTH dvd types (and no other media type) ?

Well, I think it's not correct since I still obtain a cdrom burner (but only dvd reader) listed in my available devices...
I just want to be listed only DVD burners (no cdrom reader or burner, nor any dvd reader).

Not in front of a test system at moment but this should work. I guess you will get the image recorder regardless of media? I don't suppose that is your problem?
