NVAPIExample and xml problem - Club CDFreaks

Hi, Currently I am not able to load a XML file with the sample tool.

I am using SDK 1.05.

Adding one slide, saveing the XML file.
But loading it gives me this error message:
"There was an error loading XML document!"

I acctually think I did this earlier, any suggestions ?

My goal is, from a java program, to create a xml file to later use by NVAPIExample.

I did try to attatch a zip fil including a api.xml file and one image file (used by the api.xml)

The file loads just fine with me.

Which MSXML version do you have installed? Do you have MSXML4.DLL in your SYSTEM/SYSTEM32 folder?

No I have the following MSXML*.dll files
msxml.dll
msxml2.dll
msxml2r.dll
msxml3.dll
msxml3a.dll
msxml3r.dll
msxmlr.dll

I will try to find MSXML4.dll somewhere, and try it out.

Did install latest ms xml, so now my system32 holds:

But I am stil not able to load my xml file.

Well, I am not sure. It loads just fine for me. It wasn't supposed to depend on MSXML4. The sample uses only MSXML3 functionality but I was holding for straws. It must be something else.

Can you debug the sample while loading the file and see where the exception is raised? Set a breakpoint at CPageFirst::OnLoad() and do a step-by-step.

Hi alexp,

It is about 5 years since I last did any C coding, and currently I have no C or C++ compiler installed on any of my computers.

So I am afraid, if that is what it takes, it will not be at this moment.
But I agree with you, I did look in the c code, and would also like to see xml parser error, instead of this standard error messagebox.
