Hi,

I want to start using Nero's API from with in my application.

Am I making a smart move?

Yes I'm very happy with NeroAPI ;-)
All jokes aside, at first read the documentation carefully. Not only for NeroAPI but also for another parts of NeroSDK, so you can decide what should be the best solution for you: either NeroCOM or C-Style NeroAPI interface etc. Then try to run the samples and feel free to make you modifications to test special behaviour. There are some nice examples in this forum for first steps, look there too.
