I am producing a bespoke software system in C#/C++ for Windows 2000 that uses Nero v6.5 and Nero SDK v1.06 to burn data to CD. Our bespoke software is used by multiple users so we also require Nero Burn Rights. I am required to provide our customer with both the system and full soure code on CD for full system recovery and post-development by the customer.

I would like to know if we can include on our delivery CD for redistribution the following :

- Nero Burn Rights (NeroBurnRightsInstaller.exe)

- Nero SDK v1.06 (NeroSDK-v1.06.zip)

see NeroSDK_License.txt in download folder, in particular:
from section 2: "but shall not include providing NeroSDK in full
or in parts in any form whatsoever to any third party via download, time sharing,
service bureau or in any other manner."

So no you cannot distribute nero SDK.

In addition all PCs on which the software to be used MUST have installed a fully licensed copy of Nero software. You certainly cannot distribute this commercial software under any circumstance. (Although Ahead may allow you to license the runtime files which will negate the requirement for Nero to be installed - this will only be economically viable for very large quantities)

Thanks for that, Unison. The answer was under my nose [CLAPS HAND ON FOREHEAD].

We have already purchased full boxed sets of Ahead Nero for the customer and will included them in our delivery pack.

I'm guessing that Nero Burn Rights is also not redistributable so we will simply have to point the customer in the direction of www.nero.com for that and the SDK.
