Re: Nero cannot connect problem Same here with ImgTool Burn. Integrated into ImgTool Burn is the newest available SDK (NeroAPI 6.6.0.1). Changing the Windows swap option hasen't fixed the problem. btw. The Link to the SDK is no more at the Nero website. Why! Is Nero AG about to stop the external usage of the NeroAPI? Best regards, CouJo Author of ImgTool.

| DVD Shrink and Nero 6.6.1.4: Error:\n Cannot Connect TRF Hello everyone. I have the same problem with DVD Shrink 3.2.15 and Nero 6.6.1.4 as the person above. I've searched the Net and this wonderous forum for answers to no avail. It seems that the problem is common enough to be mentioned and tracked but no one seems to be able to provide an effective solution or even an inlking of an answer. -- Either that or I can no longer read. Some people have mentioned that the problem is related to memory issues (RAM), others just presume it's a bug. So I'll submit my problem for your consideration, though it may be redundant. Hopefully, someone will come up with the right and bright answer. First I must tell you that the glitch appeared after I installed the update for Nero Reloaded: Nero 6.6.1.4. Before that, I was able to call up Nero when "Backing Up" a DVD using DVD Shrink. This is what happened to me. I use DVD Shrink to "re-authoring" a DVD. The ripping works all right until Nero is called up. Then I get this error message: Quote:
I'll be most obliged if any expert members could help me figuring out the problem. FYO, I'm on Windows XP SP2. 512MB RAM; DVD+-RW; ATI Mobility Radeon 9700, 256MB. Many thanks indeed. ![]()

Re: Nero cannot connect problem or you could use 6.6.0.18: Error:\nCannot connect TRF. ******************************************************************** This error has been associated with the latest version of nero6 version 6.6.1.4, this version will not function when used with DVDshrink for autoburning and there has been no fix as of yet. If you want to continue using shrink to autoburn with nero, then.. Write down your nero serial# and then uninstall version 6.6.1.4 from your system using the general cleantool found here: http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/General_CleanTool.html Next, download and install version 6.6.0.18 from the links provided, re-enter the serial# and you're good to go. nero version 6.6.0.18 updates: Package 1 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe If you want to keep version 6.6.1.4, then you'll need to burn manually.

Re: Nero cannot connect problem Hi folks, you made it a DVDshrink problem, but it's a NERO-PROBLEM! It applies to all utilities, useing NERO API and COM. It was driveing me crazy, off cause I thought it was my fault, when users of my program started complaining after updating NERO. Thx Shaman for the link, I did'nt find it (burned out by the quest for nTRF-Errors!). @ alan What a help! Many of us do NOT want to use V7 and you know WHY!

Re: Nero cannot connect problem PhotRuler I see your point but I think the Author of DVD Shrink needs to upgrade the program to work with Nero version 6.6.1.4 or with the new NERO version 7 http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero_7..._Features.html Basicly we have to stay in down graded mode in order to get DVD Shrink to work with Nero. Shaman74 says you have to burn the files manuley with the new version however I tried this and am getting an error that the files files are to large to burn to a DVD so how do you burn manuley ?
