How to use "NeroCmd.exe" to Continue "Multisession CD-RW"

Hi,matze

How to use "NeroCmd.exe" to burn a "Multisession CD-RW/CD-R"("Start Multisession Disc")?
And how to use "NeroCmd.exe" to burn a "Multisession CD-RW/CD-R"("Continue Multisession Disc")?

Please give me some parameters lines. Thank's!

Follow the parameters lines is my use's but can not to make a "Multisession CD-RW":

---write ; select write command
--drivename k ; select drive is 'K'
--media_type media_cdrw ;
--close_session ;
--real --tao --recursive --iso awaker_cdrw_test --iso-mode2
h:\psyche-docs.dat

Hi,

please don't ask me directly. This forum is intended to get users of NeroSDK in dialog with each others. And I am sure there are others reading this forum that can also answer your question. I am just trying to give answers if no one else knows the answer.

Generally, to start multisession discs, you have to use the parameter --close_session in NeroCMD or NBF_CLOSE_SESSION in NeroAPI. This prevents closing a disc so it can be continued later.
If you continue a multisession disc, this flag is not necessarily needed, dependent from the fact if you want to continue the disc again later or not.

To continue a multisession disc, you have to import the previous session that you want to continue. With NeroAPI you can use NeroImportIsoTrackEx to get this session. Then you have to add the imported NERO_ISO_ITEM to the root of your new NERO_ISO_ITEM tree.
With NeroCMD you have to add the flag --import to continue a multisession disc.

Just don't give a number as additional parameter and nerocmd will import the last session.

I think --import 01 does not work because if there is only one previous session, you should have to use --import 0.

errorlevel 26

Hi,
i think you found it already.
but here for everybody else

you start burning with the command to import, but it does not , it makes an error number 26,
you catch it and you write without the command for importing.

next time nero imports the sessions and it is allright.

But does this work for dvd s how?

take a look at my batch under www.conitzer.de

best regrets

Multisession with DVD-R and DVD+R work the same way than multisession on CDs.

Multisession on DVD+RW and DVD-RW will only work with NeroAPI >= 6.0.0.12.

Error Message.

Hi to all!

When I try to continue a multisession disk, an error message appears:

"The track you selected was not created using Nero's multisession option.
References to your local files cannot be automatically restored."

And below are two buttons: Ok and Cancel.

What are the implicances to put OK here??? I will not be able to read the files that yet recorded on the disk?

Thank you in advance for the help!
