DVDEngine Internal Error - Club CDFreaks

Hi,
I am trying to use the sdk 1.07 with Nero 7.2.3.2b (fully registered version) to burn DVDs by building the provided sample apps (using VS2005 for c# and VisualC++6 for C++).
Trying to burn a DVD, I keep getting failure at the estimate step (DVDEngine Internal error), and this with the NAVISIONSample as well as the COM C# NeroFiddles sample.

Nerovision used by itself works very well.
Any views on this problem?
(I tried an earlier 7.2.0.3 version before, with the same problems)
Does anyone know a version which works OK with sdk1.07?

After losing a lot of time trying to use the SDK with Nero7, I can confirm that it does not work. Nero7 is broken from this point of view. On the other hand, no problem using SDK 1.07 with Nero6 and Nerovision 3.

Hi jeremiah,

have you tried to burn 4 dvd at the same time using 4 recorders with SDK 1.07?? I am trying but I can not do it, the process fails or it takes very long time (if 1 dvd takes 10min, 4 dvd takes more than 60min!!)

I would apreciate any help.

I have the same problem working with Nero SDK 1.07 and Nero7 and NeroVision 4.
Please let me know if you have a solution for this.

SDK 1.08 is out, but works no better with Nero7 although it is supposed to support API 7.xx
Only working solution is to use older Nero version 6 and Nerovision 3.....
It is a shame in my view... In addition you get directx version problems...

DVD support via .com is broken at least from a year. I've tryed the nerosupport, but they don't provide support for a free product...
Simply don't use nero to make dvd video...you have what u pay

I have to disagree - although the SDK is free, the Nero software that is required to use it definately is not.

We're using the SDK in our Commercial Application which is shipped with a custom PC. Each PC has a copy of Nero installed. If parts of the SDK stop working, we will be forced to seek an alternative. Nero will not make money out of our future sales - so I think from that perspective it is important they fix the bugs!
