Does Nero 6 do DVD "Authoring"? - Club CDFreaks

I am confused with this DVD Authoring thing, I thought that all I would have to do is to capture the video to my HD and then burn it through Nero but was told that I need to convert the captured MPEG-2 file to a .vob file then burn it, ok so I have Nero 6, how do I go about converting the captured file to vob, does Nero 6 do it? If not, which is the easiest way to achieve this please? Thanks.

Thanks for the link, went to it and don't have the foggiest idea what in the world the guy who replied is talking about so I am still stuck.

Yeah, you will probably need a third-party transcoder to create the vob files. Also see http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=132680

ok, got this issue sorted out, next issue, what is needed from me to capture or record a DVD that is playing in my pc burner? Can Nero6 do it in any way?
