| Debugger detected Hi I'm real new to this stuff. I'm trying to use Delphi (stop laughing, yes I can hear you at the back!) to write a DVD Video burner using the NeroSDK (specifically, I'm using NeroVision API (for completeness neroInfo tool reports nerovision 2,1,2,24 & nero burning rom 6,3,1,26)). When I call EstimateCreateNeroBurnContextTime I get a little pop up when I'm 80% way though saying "Protection Error, Debugger detected - please close it down and restart!". It then goes on to say "Windows NT users: Please note that having WinIce/SoftIce service installed means you are running a debugger!". Now I don't know about you lot, but I find writing code to use an SDK needs the standard Delphi debugger running, especially when you're trying to familarize yourself with the SDK & debug my own software. Does anyone know how to turn off/get round this rather irritating feature? |

| Re: Debugger detected This is not a feature but a debug protection mechanism included in Nero and Nero Vision components respectively. As soon as the components are used from within a debugger they refuse to work. I'm afraid can not turn it off.

| Re: Debugger detected Hi, I can understand that the Nero-Developers want to protect their software, but to find bugs in my own software I have to use a debugger like most of the software developers do. (I am not that perfect writing software without bugs )So like "helpmeI'mgoingmad" (nice name) wrote, this "feature" ist not very helpful... ![]() |

| Re: Debugger detected Whats REALLY annoying is when this FEATURE happens when you are not even using NERO SDK. I develope software. I have Nero installed. In one piece of software I am developing I use the thumbnail mode to browse files but if I browse to a folder that has a Nero supported file(jpg in this case) I get this lovely message. This happens when I'm debuging my software(using MSVC) which has NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! to do with nero but Neros DSFilter gets loaded by windows and boom, not only kills my program but leaves a big mess in ram while doing it. Good job NERO developers. |
