| Yep that sounds pretty good to me. You got up to 12.1 x transfer, for a single layered DVD thats about average, for a dual layered DVD, that excellent. Rip speed will vary for just about every DVD. Some are silver, some gold, some in between & Single layer/dual layer all change the rip speeds. Of course your actual DVD reader/DMA on or off/your CPU speed/your HD Speed/ripping software all influence it as well.
