"No Seek Complete" error with DVD Decrypter!

When I try to copy a (specific)* DVD-9 movie, DVD decrypter stops at 20% for a while and keeps displaying this error, then complete copying until the end. But the movie does not run correctly, and has alot of problems.

* I mean this problem only happens with this movie, not with the whole movies.

A log file:

Why have you enabled fast error skip? It will give you errors that probably dont exist. DVD shouldnt have any (unlike cds) so do not enable this option unless you think you're god like.

Also, as a side note, why are you using ASPI instead of SPTI (the default) ? No big deal, just wondered.

Maybe also the actual dvd surface is scratched or dirty. Try cleaning with a tissue and some Alcohol even if it looks clean.

Failed to read Sector - L-EC Uncorrectable Error with DVD Decrypter!

I have been using DVD Decrypter for some time now with every try being a success. So now that I am trying to back up one of my movies I can't rip it in the first place. It goes to about 50% then generates an error saying it can't read a certain sector. By the way I did check the surface, it's clear as a mirror. It always stops on the same sector number. Like I said I checked and even cleaned the surface.

Anyway, here is the log file:

Any ideas why this is happening? Anyone seen this before? Would vstrip be worth a try, not to say that decrypter is bad (it is actually pretty good), just can't seem to read this disc. Thanks

Re: "No Seek Complete" error with DVD Decrypter!

I too get a 'no seek complete' error message when backing up my dvds

I have 6 seasons of Seinfeld and for every season there are 4 discs. I get
the exact same error message on all the dvds on the same file, the VTS_02_1.VOB.

I'm looslely assuming it's something to do with dvd's and not my setup or the drive, but i might be wrong. Has anyone encountered this before?

Here's the log output:

I am also having this same problem.
May I know where should I disable the 'fast error skip' ??

does your log show that this is enabled?

i ask because the post you quoted is 3 years old and is in reference to version 3.1.6.0 of DVD Decrypter.

the newest (and final) version of this program is 3.5.4.0 and i do not see this option anywhere. could be that it was removed in subsequent updates.
