| Final Destination 2 cannot be ripped When I attempted to rip Final Destination 2,with Decrypter,SmartRipper, and DVDShrink, the final .vob goes to 50%,and stops, citing a read error,or cyclic redundancy. Does anyone know why? Thanks to all who reply..... ![]() |

| Cyclic Redundancy Check (or CRC) is what your hard disk uses to check that a file is OK and is not corrupted (it's a mathmatical calculation of various attributes of the file if you realy wanted to know ).At some point of the ripping, the file has got corrupted and when it is being encoded it gets to the point of the error and stops (because it can't make sense of the corrupt information). I would suggest deleting any of the ripped files and running scandisk to check it's not your actual hard disk at fault, then rip again but try not to have any other programs running in the background just in case one of these (like an anti-virus scanner) is accidentially wrecking the file. Hope this helps ![]() |
