| DVD wont read in computer Hi, I have a DVD that you can view(well, half of it) in the DVD player, but not on my computer - it says DVD drive is empty. It doesn't have a brand name on it & I don't know what sort of files are on it, except that they are video. My DVD drive is an LG if that has any bearing. Oops, nearly forgot, I have tried opening it in DVD Shrink, Nero Recode & DVDFab decrypter. Last edited by loosie; 09-02-2007 at 07:35. Reason: info added |

| Re: DVD wont read in computer I have the same problem as you.. Verbatim DVD-R 8x (MCC 02RG20) burned last summer with nero as data dvd (.mp3, .avi) at 4x (singe session, finalized, veryfied).. and worked well.. after a while it became unreadable (sony aw-g170a, pioneer 109, pioneer 111d, nec xxx).. like blank dvd.. and auto run offers burn.. dvd is readable in standalone dvd player philips dvp3010 as well.. I tried dvd recovery tools (many of them) and found session (track 01) only with isobuster 2.0 but can't recover files.. dvd is not physicaly damaged, seems like the dvd structure is corrupted.. that standalone dvd player philips dvp3010 somehow overrides.. And what should can I do more.. thinking of trying to connect philips dvp3010 that reads mentioned dvd to standalone DVD recorder and copy dvd.. somehow if it's possible.. | Re: DVD wont read in computer Hi loosie, there are many of dvd recovery software but trial versions will not do until they're fully registered.. I've tried: CDRoller 6.4 IsoBuster Pro v1.9.0.3 IsoBuster Pro 2.0 Bad CD Repair Pro v4.06 CD/DVD Data Recovery v1.0 CD/DVD Diagnostic 2.0.2 File Recovery Pro v7.0 FileRecoveryAngel v1.13 FinalRecovery v1.4.0.1 and few others for which I had no reg info (only try but with no success) I recommend IsoBuster 2.0 http://www.9down.com/story.php?sid=7989 You will find everything that you need for full version on that page.. check my post at the bottom for valid reg.. Wish you luck.. ) |
