DVD will not read in computer - Club CDFreaks

I have 2 dvd drives, one is a pioneer dvd-rom and the other an LG Super Multi 12x dual layer burner. Newer dvd's don't seem to even be detected in either drive. Older dvd's work just fine. I put the disk in either drive and either it does not read or an Auto Play box pops up asking me what action I want to take with the blank disk I inserted which is weird cuz it's a dvd not a blank disk that is in there. Is there some sort of new copy protection out there that stops dvd's from even being played in computers? These new dvd's work fine in a standalone dvd player that I have hooked to my tv though, so nothing wrong with the disk. Any help would be appreciated.
