| Sure it could be the discs. Chances are great, that the player has troubles reading a disc. This can be a media compatibility issue (with the writer and/or the player), a problem with the disc itsself (test it in an other player to be shure) or the disc can be filthy (clean it). I assume that the video on the disc is ok... right? Try to play it in your computer and see what happens!
