Moviejack 2 Serious Problems

I bought MovieJack2 from Scan Computers in the UK. (Full version)
www.scan.co.uk
Almost every component of the suite fails to work.
The ripper fails to read the contents of DVDs, giving me what appears to be a list of the menu and intro video files. When asked to process those it says it can't read them and gives an access violation error. Even when it doesn't give this error, when I hit the 'Jack It' button, the source box just goes blank and nothing happens.
On both the ripper and cutter, the preview video window will not work at all.
I have WinXP(SP0), ASUS Nforce2 MB, ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 9000 and liteon/LG DVD and CDRW drives.

Anyway I've downloaded the latest version of MJ2, but no change. I also see no mention of an upgrade price from 2 to 3 which seems a bit mean if I need to upgrade to get a version which does what it says it does.
I'm a little annoyed, I've been stiffed before like this by
Elaborate Bytes with Clonecd, which to this day has never so much as cloned a single bit! (Sorry rant over...)

Any similar experiences?

Remove the IDE driver component of the nForce Chipset software and try again. We're currently trying to resolve the issue in cooperation with NVidia, stay tuned.

Unfortunately, not yet. NVidia keeps on rolling out new driver versions and each of them behaves different but still awful. BTW, we're not the only ones affected by this, I've located a couple of applications which are affected even worse than our programs. BusHound for example causes a hard reboot when installed on a system with Nforce 2 chipset, Windows XP will keep on rebooting even if automatic reboot on fatal error is disabled. I hope NVidia will get this fixed soon.

I did a lot, though seemingly shortlived, close testing with GJ and MJ. I still test with my versions and have no problems. I now have an nForce chipset and, unlike many, many others, I have no problems. I have no doubt that, like VIA, you have to make sure that the chipset drivers are installed properly. I still have a VIA based test box and it can take a dozen or more installs to get it right. nForce is no exception but what pisses me off is that the install won't 'take' the first time. Intel can get it right, why can't everyone else?

I'm sure that vendor implementation is not as good as it should be either but then, they've had sice the TX/VX to get it right. By the time the BX was out it was flank speed. If you want to shit in the woods you have to be a bear or a big dog, nForce is a pussy but it works for me - just perservere. The Internet is littered with my advice on proper installation of chipset drivers. I maintain just one each of VIA and nForce chipsets, the rest are Intel; take notice big guys.

How do I go about doing this? Or would just re-installing the drivers work?

Many thanks,
