Hi im having problems with ripping my dvd,s the program gets to 81% than i get an error as follows There has been a critical error in MovieJack 3 Ripper

im useing win 98 sehave tried several times with different dvd,s same result . any ideas thanks

There could be several problems by this error.

They need the log-file to help you...

well its been a week since i sent my error log to info@engalmann.com still no reply, so i uninstalled the program and reinstalled it to version 308 005 and no errors works fine then i installed the the update to 308010 and got the error again at 81% so I uninstalled it again and reinstalled it to 308005 and no probs i had to edit the reg . i guess the guys will make a fix 4 the 10 version soon ,stiill im happy 4 now It would have been nice if these guys replied to my email

I have been having the exact same problems, 81% Crashes every time, seems to be in version 3.08.010 cos in early versions of mj3 its fine, Downloaded the new updated 3.08.012 but having same probs with this one too.

Sent the info as requested to info@engalmann.com Almost 2 Weeks ago still not heard anything at all??

well ive just upgraded to 308.012 and havent tried it yet but if your having trouble with this version maybe better i stick to 05 version till the programers get it right , also i have noticed that on some of my svcd ripps i get a faint crakling sound mainly when theres loud music in the back ground but not when the actors are talking , any suggestions any one , and yeah whats with the logo MJ on the top right hand corner, dont have that on version 05

The sound problem is known and they're working on it. The Logo should just be for a moment in the beginning. It's because of a new law. But you can change that:
Use REGEDIT:

"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\S.A.D.\MovieJack3\"
set "InitWM" to 0!

Then there must be something wrong with your version or didn't do it correctly...

Well ive tried the same code on 3 machines now and it still dosnt remove the logo

Also i have downloaded it 3 times for those machines can all my downloads be bad??

The programme STILL crashes at 81% and the way this is going its turning out to be a waste on cash!!

WHY are these people NOT replying to my e-mails

Anyone else with the same problems?

I havent had a reply etheir and i have the same probs as u, but I guess the programmers are working on it in the mean time im using DVD2SVCD and am getting good results, but it takes longer 2 rip still i prefer moviejack 3 when they get there act together i like the one click button and forget it till morning then burn like i said earlier on this thread ,im using the 05 version cause it lets me rip to the end (no error messages ) but there is an isusse with the crackling sound in the back ground sometimes,but no mj symbol in the top right hand courner. One thing thow i was ripping a 2 layer dvd with 2 movies on it,with MJ3 and the sound quality was terrible but the picture was good thats why i went and tried DVD2SVCD and it came out perfect ,still we can only hope and wait

If you've mailed the support with the needed data (error log and computer configuration) they will give you a reply!!!
But you must know that SAD is a small brand which expands more and more and so they need some time to give all the people worldwide a reply.
Please have some patience!

If the logo stays all the time you need help from the support team (email).
The registry trick only works, if your MJ works correctly, which means the logo dissapears after some seconds...
