| Divx-codec I've just installed Moviejack on my PC. I've chosen AVI as target-format, but even though the Divx 5.0.4 codec is installed on my PC(as well as the K-lite codec-pack) I'm not able to choose divx as target-format. The manual doesn't offer much help as what to do. Maybe someone on this forum knows what to do. Greetings: Jesper |

| which exact version of MovieJack are you using? Moviejack uses standard system calls to get the list of installed codecs from windows, maybe the installation went wrong? Does virtualdub (for example) list the divx codec as a video codec for output?

| If a suitable codec is installed, no additional software besides Moviejack is required. You don't have to use the DivX software ![]()

| When I load Virtual dub I'm told that several divx-drivers are found my system. I've got the kazaa-lite codec-pack installed as well as stand-alone versions of divx 5.0.4, 4.0, and 3.11. I've tried all the possible installation procedures, but my choice of codec remains the cinepak codec. My PC is an Athlon 2100xp wiyh a newly installed version of XP including all the updates. Im able to watch all divx as well as xvid content on windows media player so I'll guess that Windows is rekognising the codecs. greetings |

| That's why I asked you if the codecs show up for the video codec in virtualdub. You installed a ton of concurrent codecs, maybe your system configuration is messed up now. Playback is different from encoding, Playback through media player usually uses direct show, encoding is done through the VfW-Interface IIRC. Please check if you can encode in divx with virtual dub. If not, you'll have to clean up your system and fix the registry entries until it works.
