5Star Game Copy backup won't play. HELP - Club CDFreaks

Dl'd the trial version of 5Star Game Copy to give it a try backing up some of my PS2 games (some are getting fairly worn

). Successfully copied the image file to a folder (as I only have one DVRW) and then burned it onto a single layer DVR. Tried playing it on my PS2 and it's not working. Their website says "5-Star GameCopy is your safety net for creating working backups of your game CDs and DVDs!" Since it's the trial version, didn't get any instructions. Tried searching for step by step instructions, but not finding any. You guys would make me very happy if you could help me figure this out.

Do you have a mod chip or other boot method for your PS2?

It's the straight outta the box PS2 slim. Do I need a mod chip or something else in this case?

First of all I'm not so familiar with PS2 chips so I would suggest you do some research for the best chip (PS2 forum via google) and find a reliable dealer who can also install the chip for you which is quite complicated in many cases. An alternative is getting some swap magic discs where you don't need any modification on the console this can be find via the forum search or google.
