Samsung sh-s203b not working right

Hi, I'm new here. This seems like a good place to get some help.

I just got the Samsung sh-s203b from http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827151153 (OEM). My computer detects the hardware but is not recognizing any drivers. I keep getting Error Code 39. I've searched everywhere for the driver, but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jaime

You really don't need any specific drivers for this drive. The standard XP drivers should do fine.

I hate to tell you this, but you really wasted your time searching for a driver when you should have just searched for 'error 39.'

Try this page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060

Welcome to cdfreaks ScarsUnseen.

Your Samsung burner is not correctly recognized because you probably don't use propper chipset drivers.
Check your motherboard manufacturer for sata drivers. In bios make sure you run drive in IDE compatibility mode.
