![]() Now that would have upset some people, but who knew. I have found in order to stay sane (well sort of) is to ask your self, "Did I get a bargin at the time of purchase?" Then I don't and get .(Sorry, a bit off topic.) Eeeek, I know it's been a while but what happened to my join date and post numbers? (No answer necessary......just now getting over the shock. )

| Re: rolling56's C2D build pics I have added a Lite-On DH-20A4P to my drives. I have tested Maxell 12X DVD-RAM writing and erasing and all is good.

| Re: rolling56's C2D build pics I ordered 3 pieces from this site but i guess it's no longer available > http://club.cdfreaks.com/f33/maxell-...-tried-206998/ Alan the deal was you ordered them from NYC (audiocube.com) they ordered them from Osaka,JP and then they mailed them to the customer. Took 6 days to get them but i thought that was fast. Cost me $30+ for 3 of them. About $12 a piece with shipping. |

| Re: rolling56's C2D build pics Todays mobos only have 1 IDE slot. I currently have 4 optical drives and would like to keep then when I build my new computer and possibly add more. Is there a PCI card I can buy to add IDE slots? *edit* nm, found the answer a few posts back

@DiiZzY a few posts above. I agree completely about most of the hardware, but on a new build I would go with $ntel at time being, when $$/performance matters. ![]()

| Re: rolling56's C2D build pics This is mostly old hardware from my desktop/workstation. RS482M4-ILD is roughly 3 years old by now. I would also go for Intel but this hardware works fine for what its supposed to do. //Danne |

| Re: rolling56's C2D build pics Hi Bob! I see you updated your configuration, a SH-S223 is new in your system, what are you thinking about this drive? I'm thinking about building such a drive in my Internet PC... ![]() Only a question, is there a reason your Plextors are running with that old firmware? Even the Premium II 1.03 works fine for me...

223F has been just an ok burner but a heck of a good reader. C0deKing has released the DL16 which will make it read a dual layer disc at 16x but i know you don't rip DVD's much. As far as my Plex's firmware is well if it works fine with it i don't flash it. Hope all is good your way!

It was a build i wanted to do and had the money at the time. No mass producing for me. I just like the fact that i can have many of my burners at my disposal and not have to switch them out all the time. It's just a hobby. My older builds case only holds 3 optical drives.
