Optical Drives come up as SCSI

for some reason, my computer shows that my optical drives are scuzzy, when they r purely IDE and when i try to do something about the DMA, there is no such option in my Device Manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers as Primary IDE drives. for some reason i dont have primary or slave under this section in the device manager. I need help to fix this problem (how to put it from scsi to ide).

You wouldn't by any chance be running Intel Application Decelerator, would you?

And did you install the NF2 IDE drivers?

For the best, remove them when there's no harddisk connected to a certain IDE channel of the NF2 chipset.

Wouldn't by chanse have the burner running on a RAID controller or PCI card of some type? You've got some kind of driver messing things up there.

It would really save time if you would provide a complete description of your system so we don't have to keep guessing.
