| My Samsung SW-240B 40x12x40 reads at 8x!!! Hi I've been copying data CD's (backing up games, VCD's) and finding that the drive takes 10min to read 650+Mb (both in Nero 5.5.7.8 and simple Windows Explorer)! It'll write in 3min though. Anyone know what I can do to copy at a decent speed (like 32x or better)?

| If your disks are copy protected it will take more time to read. ClonyXXL will tell you what type of protection your disks have. Also, some formats are slower to read than others. Finally, your software may be set to red slowly for specific types of CDs. HTH. |
