my pc won't recognizes my hd

Intel 350Mhz
BIOS = ROM PCI/ISA BIOS (<P2B-F>)
HD = Maxtor D740X-6L

Everytime i start the pc it get stuck at:
Detectin HDD Primary Master ... (Press F4 to skip)

i pressed F4 and nothing happenned

I install the HD to another PC and had no problem detecting it and i was able to install my
xp pro, then after the xp-pro was successfully installed from another pc. i tried the hd again to my pc and still the same stuck as mention above

Jumper the hdd correctly and update the BIOS!

Your computer is surely too obsolete to support this hdd correctly.

What size is your HDD? Can the motherboard bios handle LARGE HDD's?

The controller on the board and it's bios is just too old, I think.
