Of Mice and Men

Been using a Logitech MX-700 for a long time and I love it. Lately have been having random driver issues, and this driver seems to have been abandoned by Logitech support. Sounds like as good a reason as any to get a new mouse, so I have a coupla questions:

1) Does anyone have a copy of the previous MouseWares driver version 9.7.9? (not 9.7.9.1) that I can try to see if it works any better?

2) Does anyone have the MX-1000? Can you tell me of all the button functions are assignable like the MX-700 is? That is; can you change the functions of the buttons?

Re: Of Mice and Men

I havnt had any problems with office programs but in firefox the middle button click to activate a link or close a tab does not work as long as the logitech tray icon is enabled and running. if you disable the tray icon then the middle button works fine in firefox.
