just got my brand new liteon Lh-20a1s(sata)
first thing i did was firmware update
and burned a few DVD's some ps2 backup's and music DVD

when i try to burn DVD-rw it says write error and exit,
i played with booktypes alot but nothing changed
same disc burned great with Nec-3500ag
if problem not solved i will switch to pionner 212bk
i use nero to burn my things
book type is set to DVDrom - smartburn on / Hyper Tuning = on

i think i solved it ,
its my crappy silverline DVDRW media
just made TDK DVDrw No probz
did any one encouter such thing ?

Well... not quite... I can burn like everything.... but when I try to burn a video dvd.... I doesn't.

Every program quits with a big error that it cannot write to this media.

Tried different media.... but still... cannot write to this media.

Sometimes it writes a bit like 1 circle on the disc.

Anyone ?

I am having this same problem mine will not read DVD media at all now 6 mos old, it is discouraging for lite on always stood by that brand only use verbatium.
