HELP! LG GCE-8400b to GCE-8480b - Club CDFreaks

Hey Guyz, Just got a LG 40x for my b-day and stupid grandma got the wrong 1. Is it yet possible to upgrade it to the nnew 48x?

why bother? I mean there's not a huge speed difference between 40x and 48x. And the 8400b burns SD 2.8 perfectly.

In any case, not possible. Somebody already tried before (and posted experience in this same forum).... You can upgrade a 8320B to a 8400B, but not to a 8480B (different animal).
