Which DVD+/-RW Drive is most versatile?

Hey guys.
I'm thinking about getting a new DVD drive, and I was thinking of BenQ 16xx drives. But beside that point, which drives do you guys recommend that works fine with any type of burning program or game/dvd-copying program?
I have Alcohol 120%, and I need a drive that can decode EFM and Safedisc, etc. Since Alcohol is too lazy to update their list, I am hesitant to buy..
Also, do you guys recommend putting drives in an enclosure, or are there external drives that can handle EFM?
Thanks~

None. All have weak points.
