Whenever i try to read any kind of disc it won't autostart, so then i open it from my computer, no matter what i do, it tells me it's a blank disc and it keeps asking me how i want to format it. sometimes i can open it using power iso. i don't know what wrong with it. can someone help me?

PS i have vista home basic , and i have a toshiba.

PSS i just tried running autorun.exe through CMD, and that worked. so i know my drive works, it's just getting my computer to understand that the cd isn't blank.

Are those commercial media? What kinda burner do you have?? Have you checked with the manufacture site to see what if they had any reports of problem with your particular model?
