I'm getting rid of my 24x liteon drive for a new drive. what is the best burner for 1:1 copies?

and if it is the 52x liteon drive is the 48x identical to it except for the speed?

With securom 4.8 out 1:1 copies are presently not obtainable, copies are possible but it will not be 1:1, that being said, search for ASUS and Lite-On those seem to be the two most popular.

i see some liteon 48x drives can be flashed to a 52x drive. does anyone know if any drives coming out soon can do securrom 4.8?

The inability to make "perfect" copies of the latest securom protected cds has little to do with the writer used. The protection used a type of cd with special physical characteristics that is not available to the public at large.
