Any thoughts on the BENQ 3210 A 32x10x40

Anybody have any thoughts on the BENQ 3210A 32x10x40. Got a good deal on it and want to know if its a decent drive. I will be using it on a PII 366 with 96MB of RAM. Likely only burning audio CDs, audio files from the net and storing microsoft files (ie. power point). Any other recommendations for comparable drives. This one is $80 Cdn.

Thanks

Read the CD Freaks review of the BenQ 40x: http://www.cdfreaks.com/document.php3?Doc=84

Has Benq/Acer ever made a drive which is worth the space it takes?

Alexnoe are you a Liteon Shareholder ?

Well, I have the Benq 4816p writer and seems to write fine for me, at least as far as CDR Inspector and Nero CD Speed can ascertain. Fast as well, see the Nero CD Speed website.

Mr AlexNoe, you are a moderator of this forum (which is NOT a Liteon specific forum I might add) and I'm disappointed at your flaming of specific brands without evidence to backup your claims.

You behave like you are a LiteOn shareholder but shouldnt constructive technical advice preclude your business interests ? Sorry, but life exists in the CD Writing world beyond LiteOn!

The Benq 4816, unlike the older drives, is actually a pretty impressive drive! With its 16x rewriting, I prefer it to the LiteOn 48125W.
