this was fixed awhile back if i recall and come back today and see its back?

banner on front page blocks drop down menu for forum.

Aye its broken. Even normal gif-ads are blocking the layer.

There have been no changes in the code lately and over here it works fine, nevertheless that's no solution to your problem. Unfortunately we have a big lack of developers so I'm afraid the menu issue will not be resolved any time near.

Hmm its working again... Strange. I could swear the last ad was a ordinary gif. It must have been a flash-file in disguise!

Ad banner is blocking menus for me as well. If it works 'over here' as mentioned earlier, could it be an IE6 setting?

How bout ditchin the banners till you get it fixed!

Not much of a service to your users what with the "beggars" blockin the navigation...

Sure, and why not remove all the adds as well? Please think before you speak. Do you think that running a site like this with a huge amount of visitors doesn't cost any money?

i believe i proposing 2 solution about this 1 year ago...[list=1][*]move the ads behind (change z-index number), which i doubt the legality with the ads server agreement[*]move the ads up. i mean the menu will be under logo and ads banner inline with logo[/list=1] since then i realise that the management took more drastical approach by hiding the ads (is that legal?) but it seems not solving the problem, so i believe the 2nd option worth a try...
it wont hrt... i guarantee...
