warning Layer Break is around 01:14:15, optimal value can't be set within the possibl

Does anybody know why I get this message on my C2CD log:

warning Layer Break is around 01:14:15, optimal value can't be set within the possible range of [1143056..1149248].

The movie copied is defective.
The picture pauses when it gets to a certain scene in the movie. I also get a herky jerky movement which is like pausing and starting but restarting at a place a few seconds after the first pause.

I have a LG4163B DVD burner with the latest firmware. I recently installed Windows SP2 and reinstalled CopytoDVD 3.0.35.59. I never had problems before installing SP2.

I generally do not compress my Menus and copy at 4X speed after I have shrunk the files to a hard disk using DVD Shrink.

Also is it better to burn slower (4X) or faster (8X)(16X)?
I use Maxell DVD -R 8X blank media and rarely had problems with these discs.

What is my problem? ...the discs, the burner, the firmware, the way I am using CopytoDVD, DVD Shrink, new copy protection on the newer DVD's I am not aware of, not compressing the menus, not putting the settings a certain way?

Thanks for all your help, log is below:
