Possibly down to using poor quality media & getting poor burns.

What burner do you have & what media are you using?

Re: vso convertxdvd poor quality when converting digital home video?

Get Nero's CD-DVD Speed from here and , using the disc info tab, get an image of the screen with one of your disks in the burner.

Then using the floppy icon at the top right save the screen image in png format and then post that image back here using Go Advanced and Manage Attachments.

That will tell us a lot about the burner & the DVD media.

BTW I should have welcomed you to CD Freaks.
