i am trying to convert some videos with dual audio - first language on left, the other on right
is there a way to convert the video so that it only plays one language only?

If that audiostream is only one stream with two separate channels - only way is to use external audioeditor to block one channel (and copy it to both), then combine it back to video and convert.
