Thanks for the reply in my post...

I have question regarding this quote...
4.2.5 Is the best and i implore everyone to use that version with the latest versions BWA program.....

Is one able to get the BWA program separately from Blindwrite suite???

How would I just use the latest/obtain version?

Thanks
Neal

No but the bwa program is a separate executable.

What you should do if you want to follow ViRuS2k's advice is-

1. Install 4.2.8.

2. Then copy the BwaBuilder.exe file to a temp folder on your hardrive.

3. Uninstall 4.2.8 and re-install 4.2.5.

4. Move the BwaBuilder.exe file from 4.2.8 from the temp folder to your blindwrite folder over-writing the one from 4.2.5.

Dumb Question no 1 [for today]

If you do an uninstall, will BW remember the registration information?

I've only ever installed and used 4.2.1, so should I find my print out with the code on it ...... ?

Hi,
I've got the liteon 40X@48X and the liteon 52X.
I don't seem to get blindwrite 4.2.8 bwa file builder working at all. It just gives me bad bwa files. I used 1X, 2X, 4X andd 8X. The files give peaks with both burners and with a qsi-sbw081 combodrive (in my laptop) I get better results, but they aren't great either.

I tried to use Warcraft III (which don't need the bwa file, but has to work also) and the only way to get good working copies is with clonecd 4.

I downloaded the bwa file that was in the forum (written by futureproof) and that didn't work either. The bwa file was spotted, but after burning the disc wasn't recogniced by any drive at all.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong

Are you trying to burn with version 4.2.5 or 4.2.8?

ViRuS2k recommends using the bwa builder from 4.2.8 with version 4.2.5 to make the image and to burn.

Personally, I had better results with the bwa builder from 4.2.5 but, in either case, I wouldn't bother with anything from 4.2.8 other than the bwa builder unless you want to use the autoplay feature.

Incidentally. version 4.2.5 failed for me with WC3 though it succeeded with securom 4.8x games with my 52x Asus (though not with my 24x Litey). However, neither clonecd nor alcohol had any problem with WC3.

For WC3 the only program working for me was ccd4. Acohol and blindwrite didn't get me a working copy. (Se my signature for burners used)
I used 4.2.5 and 4.2.8 and both bwa builders. All did not work. Sometimes I get an unreadable disc and sometimes I get a disc on which the files seem to look oke, but they never work at all.

I use bw 4.2.9 for the bwa builder and 4.2.5 for the reading and writing of the image.

In warcraft III I get the result that the disc does install and the recognition time is good. But the only thing is that when I try to run the game I get the message: "Please make sure that the Warcraft III cd-rom is in your cd-rom drive" or soemthing like that. This does not happen if I use CCD4 but for newer securom protected games, ccd4 won't work, I know.

I tried to use all the info at club cd freaks, but all I've got is a big pile of coasters.

Like yesterdag I used some info that virus had sent my by privat messages and that gave me another 7 coasters. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I tried to use reading subs and tried to not use reading subs. With the bwa builder I used set Auto sector to be on and off. THe difference gave me to put an extra double sectors of 630 when I did use the auto function an 646 when I didn't use the auto function.

The last time:
I read the image at 24X and wrote it at 24X the bwa file was made at 4X.
I used the ltr-52246s for reading and writing with firmware 6S0C and that was with version 4.2.5.35 for writing and reading with 4.2.5.29 (I believe) and the bwa builder of 4.2.9.
The bwa file added 646 dual sectors.
I wrote with dao pw so that should not be the problem.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
