Some kind of Securom New is on both cds
I tried to copy it with alcohol rmps but it doesnt work: Problem cant even instal game will check cd before install and doesnt accep. Any Solutions?

Are you sure? The last dozen or so games with SecuROM have blacklisted the Virtual Drive which means the game won't even run from the original - try it first.

Yes its blacklisted it only works if you remove alle recording stuff

No, you only have to uninstall the VD in most cases

i mad a copy with blindwrite, and i´m not able to install to install the game from the copy. but the original works fine.
any further solutions?

Well, the copy's no good, I suspect. Can you post a log? I'll move this to the BW forum

have you used a scanner to find the version of the protection?

maybe Tagès?

hi,
1st: i have a plex premium and so far i don't have probs with copying this game with bw 457
2nd: i own the german version and here there is the protection only on the 1st disc, the 2nd one is labelled as PLAY-CD, but you have to run the game with cd 1 in drive - and the 1st needs a .bwa, the 2nd one is a normal data-cd, without protection...
3rd: strange, my clony just found a normal securom new (not 4.xxx), but nevertheless it HAS to be a new 4.xxx because a .bwa file is needed... strange...
4th: no, "burning stuff" is NOT blacklisted
5th: just install from the original, you won't install it sooo often that there is danger to your cd's....

As Razor1982 said, no problems to backup Spellforce with Plex Premium and Blindwrite (I'm using V5) but that's not a news, my Plex Premium never failed with Securom (never failed with SafeDisc either

).

And yes, the protection is a normal Securom, no weird stuff here, it's not Tagès or something else

With your premium, do you need to use autoplay with safedisc?

hi,
stupid answer from me: i don't know...

use alc 120 for sd 2 and not bw...
but my alc backups are ok, run on every drive i tested 'till now (at least 10... girlfriend, mom, dad, friends...)
but if you want me to i will test it with the next sd-protected game i will copy... then using bw without autoplay ('cos i do really not like any kind of third party emulation)...

Spellforce plays when you update your alcohol version to 1.4.8 build 1222....the newest version. RMPS on, no need to make new copy...the existing copy should install and run.

also runs after updating to version 1.05 of game.
